CSU-CHILL 1.5 deg elevation angle PPI scan data through an area of heavy rain located just north of Loveland, Colorado. Solid white contours show the horizontal extent of the storm via the 35, 45, and 55 dBZ reflectivity levels. Positive differential reflectivity values typical of oblate raindrops are depicted by the color fill. Time lapse loops of the evolution this echo system have been prepared. (Full Article...)
