Principal engineer in the construction of CHILL . By the way the CHILL stands for the University of CHicago and the university of ILLinois. We developed the radar jointly. It was not first assembled in Chicago, but in Champaign. The original purpose of the radar was to provide data for a national research program (National Nail Research Experiment, NHRE). The name was chosen by the leader of that program.
