RHI scan data collected while the CSU-CHILL radar was deployed to Burlington, CO during the STEPS project. Stratiform rain is indicated at closer ranges where a bright band / melting layer echo is present. The thunderstorm seen near a range of ~70 km demonstrates a convective precipitation echo. A positive Zdr column can be seen in the vicinity of the thunderstorm's updraft.
