Radial velocity data in a CSU-CHILL RHI scan through a severe thunderstorm approaching the radar site at ~0030 UTC on 30 July 2016. Inset photograph shows the associated lowered cloud base that was visible from the radar. The storm produced hail at multiple locations, including CSU-CHILL.
