X-Band reflectivity data recorded by the CSU-CHILL radar on 15 July 2013. Attenuation losses suffered during propagation through an area of heavy thunderstorm precipitation prevent the detection of echoes at more distant ranges. Time lapse animations of the evolution of various X-Band attenuation patterns have been prepared. more
