National Weather Radar Facility
The CSU-CHILL National Weather Radar Facility, located in Greeley, CO, is an advanced, transportable dual-polarized dual-wavelength (S- and X-band) weather radar system. The facility is operated by Colorado State University, under the sponsorship of the National Science Foundation and the University.

Sunshine after a storm Sunshine after a storm

Afternoon sun reappears at the CSU-CHILL radar site as an area of thunderstorms moves off towards the east on the afternoon of 28 May 2013. The radar on the left is a 9 GHZ dual polarization system that was a collaborative development of CSU and the University of Puerto Rico at Mayaguez. The air-supported dome that protects the CSU-CHILL's antenna is visible on the right.
