The one foot square hailpad exposed at CoCoRaHS station JF179 (For station location, see Image:9jun2004_hdr_map.png). For size reference, the red ball in the photograph is one inch in diameter. The observer reported a maximum hailstone size of .75 inches; the largest dents in the pad have a maximum diameter of .9 - 1.0 inches. The observer also reported that an additional episode of small hail took place after the time period included in the HDR hail map. The largest diameter stones were observed to fall during the 1428 to 1519 MDT period.
