Test flight by the University of Wyoming King Air research aircraft to the Easton / CHILL area was planned for this date. The King Air's takeoff was delayed by the onset of heavy, wet snow at Laramie. Thunder was also briefly reported in the KGXY observations at mid-day. By the time of the King Air's arrival (~2220 UTC), light rain was ending at KGXY. The King Air flew two ILS low passes at KGXY to make measurements as close to the surface as possible.  Thereafter, the flight operated to the East of the GILL VORTAC on the 090 radial.  Horizontal passes were made a several altitudes in the precipitation area that was departing to the east. Some possible skin paints from the King Air were seen at several time in the CHILL realtime data.

Summary

Some possible skin paints from the King Air were seen at several times in the CHILL realtime data.
