High winds recorded by corn stalks High winds recorded by corn stalks

Most of the corn stalks in the field located northwest of the CSU-CHILL radome were bent over by the high winds that occurred during the overnight hours of 17 October 2012. Prof. T. Fujita pioneered the use of corn field damage characteristics to infer local high wind patterns.
