Site photographs from the GXY traffic pattern: Dec 27, 2010
Dr. Brenda Dolan (research scientist in the CSU Atmospheric Science Department) took photographs from an aircraft in the traffic pattern at the Greeley-Weld County Airport (GXY). The CSU-CHILL radar and the temporarily-visiting NASA N-Pol radar are located on opposite sides of the main runway at GXY.
Radar calibration sphere flight: 2 December 2010
A light weight foil-covered sphere provides a target with a known backscattering cross section that is used as a reference during a radar calibration experiment.
N-Pol Radar Antenna Installation: Oct 21, 2010
The new center-fed antenna was mounted on the N-Pol radar at GXY on 21 October 2010.
VCHILL Utilization at the ERAD conference in Romania: Sept 4, 2010
Prof. Chandrasekar included various VCHILL services as a part of a short course taught at the ERAD 2010 conference in Sibiu, Romania.
