CSU-CHILL Casebook: 9 May, 2003
Widespread rain developed during the afternoon hours of 9 May, 2003. Bright band echo patterns were well defined in both the higher elevation PPI scans and the RHI scans conducted by the CSU-CHILL radar. (See the VCHILL links below). During the later evening hours, surface observations indicated that wet snow mixed in with the rain.
