CSU-CHILL Casebook: 2 June, 2005

Storm Prediction Center expecting at least slight risk of severe weather primarily towards the eastern and southern limits of the CHILL coverage area. Under the direction of Brenda Dolan, the CHILL did full 360 PPI volume scans in synchronization with the KFTG -88D NWS radar starting at 2009:39. Most of the initial storm development was fairly close to the KFTG / KDEN area, compromising the dual Doppler beam intersection angles. At 2200 a severe thunderstorm warning was issued for a seperate storm near Berthoud. (See the RHI scan at 2209:36).
