The CSU-CHILL National Weather Radar Facility, located in Greeley, CO, is an advanced, transportable dual-polarized dual-wavelength (S- and X-band) weather radar system. The facility is operated by Colorado State University, under the sponsorship of the National Science Foundation and the University.

Dual polarization data were collected with the NASA N-Pol radar while blizzard conditions existed on 26 March 2009. This example N-Pol 4.1 degree elevation angle PPI image demonstrates an asymmetric pattern with a larger phase accumulation (darker colors) developing in the western azimuth sector.
