Scattered afternoon showers and thunderstorms lead to hopes that something might pass the 2DVD site at Platteville. However, maximum reflectivities at the disdrometer only reached ~30 dBZ at 2137 UTC. For ZDR calibration and polarimetric consistency checks, several RHI's were done through a better storm on the 131 deg azimuth starting arund 2157 UTC. The 2210 RHI incorporated some ZDR calibration adjustments and had intense enough rain to generate some phase shift. At 2214 the RHI's were repeated in VHS mode.
Problems: System calibration values should be verified.
